Kuala Lumpur, 7 September 2021 – Reservoir Link Energy Bhd (“Reservoir Link” or the “Group”), announced that Founder Energy Sdn Bhd (“FESB”), a 51 %-owned subsidiary, has received a purchase order from Solar Bina Engineering Sdn Bhd valued at RM8.42 million.
The Group will undertake subcontracting works of installation, testing and communication of photovoltaic modules, inverter, DC cables and associated works for development of a 100MWac large scale solar photovoltaic project in Marang, Terengganu. The contract, which will begin from 7 September 2021, is expected to be completed over 6 months.
Prior to this, the Group had, on 11 August 2021, announced the approved acquisition of a 51% equity interest in FESB.
Reservoir Link executive director Thien Chiet Chai said, “We are pleased to secure our first solar photovoltaic contract as Reservoir Link pursues its goals in energy transition. This contract is a testament of our plans since the successful acquisition of Founder Energy.
With this contract, Reservoir Link’s solar renewable energy order book will increase to RM32.77 million driven by the upward trajectory of solar demand and government initiative of LSS (Large Scale Solar) projects and NEM (Net Energy Metering) 3.0.”
